Kabaharkam monitors the emergency PPKM blocking in Jakarta and Yogyakarta by air

JAKARTA, Indonesia – Komjen Pol Arief Sulistyanto, the Head of the National Police’s Safe Operations Center, did an airborne monitoring of the current status of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road on Tuesday (6/6/2021).

According to Arief, the Jakarta Cikampek Toll Road was not as busy as normal during the Emergency PPKM, and smooth traffic was monitored, indicating that emergency PPKM operations can be undertaken in DKI Jakarta.

“I conducted air patrols beginning in Pondok Cabe and continuing to Bogor, Bekasi, the East Jakarta area, and within Jakarta itself. Thank God, the traffic situation is calm, and people’s activities on the highway have decreased significantly compared to yesterday, as have other community activities, so that this emergency PPKM may be implemented in the Jakarta area “Komjen Pol Arie stated

According to him, the purpose of this aerial assessment is to keep a close eye on the situation in Jabodetabek during the Emergency PPKM.

Komjen Arief Sulistyanto had previously visited Yogyakarta to undertake a survey of community activities in the Yogyakarta area and its environs as part of the Emergency PPKM implementation. He claimed that outside, the condition of orderly mobility and community activities had deteriorated. Furthermore, immunization efforts were carried out at DIY locations.

“I flew to Yogyakarta this morning and reviewed community activities in the Yogyakarta area, then visited the entire Yogyakarta area, continuing to the Yogyakarta border, Klaten, and Klaten-Solo, and the situation was normal,” he said.

Furthermore, actual field observations reveal that many non-essential shops and restaurants have closed their doors, while those that remain open use take-out systems and online application services.

“Then the non-essential and non-essential activities have been running smoothly,” Komjen Pol Arief explained. “That means there are no activities in those places, the shops are not all open, some are open, some restaurants are closed, some are open, but those are open to serve with takeaway.”

The situation of community movement had begun to be managed on the fourth day of the implementation of safe operations for the homeland and Emergency PPKM, according to Komjen Arief, and many individuals were aware of and complied with the Emergency PPKM policy.

Komjen Arief hopes that the community will continue to carry out this situation even after the Emergency PPKM ends; according to him, the community must continue to follow the Health Protocol and the 5 M so that Covid can be managed and addressed in Indonesia as soon as possible.
