The Village Heads, namely Sidomulyo Village, Baru Village, Paal Village and Tanjung Niaga Village have also made appeal efforts both through deliberations and banner appeals.

Likewise, the Regent of Melawi, gave an appeal that was installed on both sides of the bridge which is often used as a location for the fireworks war.

After all efforts have been made, all relevant agencies in Melawi Regency are united and synergized, preventing crowds of both people who are holding fireworks war parties and people who are just watching.

This was prevented not without reason, in Melawi Regency itself the number of Covid-19 transmission and mortality rates is increasing every day.

According to data from the Melawi District Health Office, the figure is dated May 10, 2021. As many as 19 people died from Covid-19 and 24 patients who were positive Covid-19 were treated at the Melawi District Hospital, and 19 patients were treated at the Kenual Post.

Judging from this figure alone, both the Director of the Melawi District Hospital and the Head of the Melawi Regency Health Service said that the place for treating Covid-19 patients in Melawi Regency is full.

When else will we realize the importance of adhering to health protocols not to crowd and wear masks.

Meanwhile, the fireworks war activities were carried out without complying with health protocols such as crowding and not wearing masks.

Not only was the impact of Covid-19 caused by these activities, people who used bridges for their activities were also disturbed and caused congestion.

Anticipating congestion, the Melawi Police AWC tactical vehicle is deployed to spray to disperse and prevent Covid-19 clusters in Melawi Regency.

In the river, 4 speed boats were also deployed, namely from the Melawi Police, the speed of Bhabinkamtibmas of the Nanga Pinoh Police, the speed of the Nanga Pinoh Koramil and the speed of the BPBD of Melawi Regency, to block the speed used to fire fireworks from the direction of the river.

In this activity, the security apparatus strongly urged the public not to gather on the bridge, so that there would be no crowds which had an impact on the spread or transmission of Covid-19 which was increasingly massive in Melawi Regency.
