INP Anticipate Entry of ‘Zombie’ Drugs from America to Indonesia

IndonesiaPolice – The National Police through the Directorate of Drug Crime Bareskrim Polri anticipates the circulation of ‘zombie’ drugs from Philadelphia, United States of America to Indonesia.

Deputy Director for Drug Crime at Bareskrim Polri Kombes Pol Jayadi, said that the circulation of a new type of drug called flaka, which contains fentanyl, has not been detected in Indonesia.

“But with what is happening in America, during the Rakernis in Bali, we also appeal to all levels to anticipate related to the circulation of fentanyl there (America and its surroundings),” Jayadi told reporters as quoted Tuesday (30/5/ 2023).

Jayadi explained, fentanyl is a narcotic. The use of these drugs is booming in America

“Until today, until now, we have not found fentanyl circulation in Indonesia,” said Jayadi.

Viral was reported in the media regarding the condition of the City of Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania, where many of its citizens are drug addicts, to the point where it became an epidemic. The city is now dubbed the city of ‘zombies’.

The new type of drug addict in the city in the United States is active outdoors. They are like zombies, walking aimlessly with empty eyes due to the effects of drug consumption. Many also fell asleep on the sidewalks.
