Support Asean Summit 2023, Indonesian Traffic Police Inspect Route and Venue in Labuan Bajo

Labuan Bajo – The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps, represented by Police Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi, and the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief, Police Inspector General Johanis Asadoma, inspected Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, to prepare for the security of the upcoming Asean Summit 2023.

During the inspection, Police Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi stated that the focus will be on the route, flow, and accommodation of the VVIP guests who will be attending the event.

“We want to ensure that on the D-day, we know which roads we need to take action on, technically speaking,” said the Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps, Police Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi, in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, on Thursday (9/3).

The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps will also support the needs of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, including technology, equipment, and personnel, which will be coordinated directly by the Indonesian National Police Operations Assistant.

“Our visit today is to identify what backup we can provide to the units in order to support this event,” added the Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps.

Technology such as K3I (Control, Coordination, Communication, and Information) will also be established by the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps to monitor the security during the Asean Summit 2023.

“We hope that the K3I system will become our security standard, like in Bali, so that we can at least apply it here,” he continued.

As it is known, the Asean Summit 2023 will take place in May and will be attended by 11 Asean countries and their delegations.

The Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps also received a direct briefing from the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Traffic Director, Police Commissioner Rahmat Hakim, and the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Operations Director, Police Commissioner Widoni Fedri, on the preparations for the security of Asean Summit 2023.

Some locations inspected by the Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps include the Meruorah Komodo Labuan Bajo Hotel, Sudamala Resort Komodo, Golo Mori, Plataran Komodo Resort, and Ayana Hotel.

Also present at the event were the Head of the Indonesian National Police Operations Assistant, Police Brigadier General Roma Hutajulu, the Director of Operational Services of Jasa Raharja, Dewi Aryani Suzana, the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Traffic Director, Police Commissioner Rahmat Hakim, the West Manggarai Public Works representative, Richard Sontani, and the West Manggarai Transportation Agency representative, Adrianus Gunawan.
