Indonesian Police – Indonesia National Police (INP) stated that Lecturer at the Indonesian Islamic University (UII) Yogyakarta, Ahmad Munasir Rafie was declared not missing.
Kadiv Hubinter INP Inspector Jenderal Krishna Murti explained that Ahmad Munasir, who was previously reported missing when he was returning to Indonesia in Oslo, Norway, deliberately changed his flight route without informing anyone.
“The person concerned is not lost. But changing the route without telling anyone,” said Krishna Murti, Monday (20/2).
According to Krishna, his party already knew the whereabouts of Ahmad Munasir. However, Krishna has yet to reveal why Ahmad Munasir changed his route.
“It has been detected (its location),” said Krishna.
It is known that Ahmad Munasir, who disappeared after returning from Oslo, Norway after participating in global mobility activities at the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN), has been detected. Munasir Rafie was detected entering Boston, United States of America (US).
“Based on information received by the family through UII from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemlu RI), AMRP was detected entering the United States through Boston Airport on February 13, 2023. This finding is based on data from the United States Customs and Border Protection (US CBP), ” said UII Chancellor Fathul Wahid in a written statement, reported by detikJateng, Sunday (19/2/2023).
Even though he was detected entering Boston, USA, the exact whereabouts of Ahmad Munasir Rafie Pratama in Boston are not known for certain. Until now Rafie also could not be contacted.
