IndonesiaPolice – Turkey – The Emergency Medical Team (EMT) team for humanitarian aid for the earthquake disaster arrived at Adana Airport, Turkey on Monday evening, 13 February 2023.
Kasatgas INP 2023 Turkish Humanitarian Mission Brigadier General Gatot Tri Suryanta said, because the process of setting up a hospital field took 3 days, it was not possible to shift troops in the field, due to the situation and field conditions and the tents and support team were not yet ready in the field.

Furthermore, Gatot said that AFAD, Turkey’s earthquake management authority, had determined a placement point where Indonesian SAR Team personnel and 4 Polri personnel, along with 2 K9s, had shifted to the location of searching for earthquake victims.
“SAR K9, which is affiliated with Basarnas, is carrying out a search for earthquake victims in the Hatay city area,” he said.
Gatot added that the difficulty of the search field and the thickness of building materials prevented SAR K9 from detecting victims in the rubble. The search was temporarily stopped because it was getting late.
“The results of the search did not find victims buried,” he said.
In the EMT team, Gatot said that as many as 22 Polri personnel were dispatched to Turkey on a humanitarian mission in phase II. In phase I, the Police released 4 personnel, namely from the K9 team consisting of AKP Mohammad Amali, Bripka Stefanus Anto Mulyono, Bripka Triyo Arbianto, and Briptu I Ketut Mertayasa.
“These 4 personnel were included as a BNPB team that departed via the Hercules C130 aircraft,” he said.
The task force team, said Gatot, will be in Turkey for approximately 1 month. Upon arrival in Turkey, the team will be divided. The team that went to Turkey (in Hatay province to be precise) were the field health team and logistics. Meanwhile, the team that went to Syria was only a logistics team.
