Directive from President Joko Widodo

President Joko Widodo or what we often call Jokowi attended the 2023 Leadership Meeting at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (8/2).

In his direction, Jokowi emphasized the duties of the INP and Indonesian Military in the economic to political context.

“So earlier I said about what is called investment, what is called downstream, then what is related to forest fires, related to maintaining conduciveness in the political year. Broadly speaking, that’s it,” said President Jokowi, quoted from humas.polri.go.id, Wednesday (8/2).

“And the task of the INP and Indonesian Military is to ensure that what is called industrialization and downstreaming goes well in the field, there are no disturbances,” he said.

President Jokowi admitted that he did not give specific directions to the INP and Indonesian Military regarding the solidity of the two institutions in the political year.

“I think the INP and Indonesian Military already know what they are doing. The most important thing is to maintain the conduciveness of the political year and not get involved in practical politics,” Jokowi concluded.
