Jakarta – Indonesia’s success in running the G20 Indonesia presidency event received appreciation from all heads of state and delegates to the G20 Summit who attended.
Of course, this success was due to the support of many parties, including the Indonesian National Police, in securing the situation during the event. This was conveyed by President Jokowi in his remarks at the G20 Summit National Committee Thanksgiving event at BICC, Nusa Dua, Bali, Thursday (17/11).
“First of all, I would like to express my appreciation for the hard work of all of you, ladies and gentlemen. TNI, Polri, BIN, local government, all ministries, all institutions, event supporters, all hotel crews whose integrated management I saw, their organization in the field is very neat,” said the President.
“I saw no incidents, neat on the road, neat at the hotel, neat at the submission point, at meetings, neat at dinner at GWK, in the mangrove forest and all heads of state expressed their appreciation and also the good weather was very supportive.” he said.
“The management of integration and organization in the field is very good, it really supports Indonesia’s progress. to the Commander in Chief and all the ranks of the chief of the national police and all the senior police officers and all the ranks I thank you very much.” Jokowi continued.

It is known that 1,759 personnel were deployed to maintain the smooth flow of traffic for VVIP guests at the G20. Thousands of personnel were assigned to escort, secure routes and parking pockets to stand guard at monitoring posts.
The President also appreciated the enthusiasm of the leaders of the G20 countries who were present in person in Bali even in the midst of a global situation that was experiencing many difficulties.
The Indonesian presidency has succeeded in encouraging dialogue and reaching several agreements among the G20 countries amidst a challenging situation.
On the same occasion, President Jokowi also apologized to all Balinese people if there was overcrowding due to an international event for one or two days. The participation of the community, according to him, is very helpful.
“We apologize to all the people of Bali at the time of the G20 Summit, we apologize profusely if there are traffic jams and so on.” Said the President.
