Patrols Use Electric Vehicles to Keep the G20 Bali Summit Safe

Indonatpolice – Bali – Electric vehicles are used by heads of state and delegates participating in the G20 Summit in Bali. In fact, the police officers who participated in securing the G20 Summit were also prepared for electric vehicles, both motorbikes and cars.

Electric vehicles used by the Police for escorts to patrols. One of the electric vehicles used by the National Police is the Renault Twizy.

This vehicle is used for patrols to secure several areas which are the venues and accommodation places for delegations.

Like tonight, six Renault Twizy cars patrol the ITDC area, Nusa Dua, Bali. These six cars were manned by 12 members of the Police-TNI, all of whom were women.

The Policewomen (Polwan) and the Women’s Army Corps (Kowad) look good at driving a vehicle with a capacity of two people.

They toured the Nusa Dua area to ensure the safety of delegations and heads of state. With sirens, they walk around and occasionally give warnings through loudspeakers.

Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo, said electric vehicle patrols were being carried out to ensure the security of holding the G20 Summit.

“In addition to ensuring safety, these electric vehicle patrols are also carried out to support environmentally friendly energy,” said Dedi in Bali, Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

Policewomen and Kowad members who carry out patrols, said Dedi, as a form of TNI-Polri synergy so that the G20 Summit is a success.

“This is also a form of TNI-Polri synergy in securing the holding of the G20 Summit,” he said.

This joint patrol is carried out periodically until the head of state or delegation returns to his country. With good security, he said he would bring Indonesia’s name to fame in the eyes of the world.

“We want heads of state or delegations to feel safe and comfortable because the TNI-Polri are always on guard 24 hours a day. That way the world knows that Indonesia is capable of holding international events from a security standpoint,” he said.
