National Police Chief Review Security Simulation for the G20 Bali Summit

IndonatPolice – Bali – The security forces of the Bali G20 Summit held a Tactical Floor Game (TFG) to clarify the security tasks of the first, second and third rings.

National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo said various simulations had been carried out, such as detecting suspicious people and items, protecting representatives while crossing travel routes, and predicting problems at the scene.

The National Police Chief emphasized that his party and other security forces will discuss all possibilities at the Bali G20 Summit meeting which will take place on 15-16 November 2022.

“Today we are carrying out various simulations, especially if there is a delegation route that will pass, then there are obstacles, steps we must take,” said National Police Chief Sigit in Denpasar, Bali, on Thursday (10/11).

According to the National Police Chief, the delegates will use the main route in Bali. The police are also preparing traffic engineering to break down the location density. This has been approved by the Governor of Bali Wayan Koster.

“We have agreed with the Governor that the main route is prioritized for authorization,” said the National Police Chief.

The security forces are ready for all security scenarios from soft to hard.

The National Police deployed 9,700 personnel at the Bali G20 Summit, 3,699 reserve personnel at the Mobile Brigade Command Headquarters, and 11 personnel at Satbrimoda.

Several police were also deployed to guard the border between East Java and NTB during the Bali G20 Summit. The police are also equipped with surveillance cameras or CCTV equipped with facial recognition.
