Jakarta – The Promise of the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri) General Police Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., to oversee the student demonstrations, Monday, April 11 2022, immediately complied.
Not only was he behind his troops, arranging for police personnel to guard the demonstration, but the National Police Chief appeared in front of the students.
The former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit had a dialogue with students from one of the command cars during the demonstration.
It didn’t stop there, the National Police Chief also took several student representatives to meet with several DPR leaders.

What Sigit did shows the Police’s strong commitment to ensuring a safe and orderly demonstration. Although not an easy thing, the effort certainly deserves appreciation.
The appearance of the National Police Chief in the mass of student demonstrations, according to media observer Rahmat Edi Irawan, sends a strong message that the National Police is always a solution to the nation’s problems.
“Police do not appear loud and rude, but appear sympathetic when there are demonstrations. This shows that the Police are still helping to find the best solution for the nation’s problems,” said the lecturer in Communication Studies at Bina Nusantara University, Jakarta.
