Jakarta – The National Police of the Republic of Indonesia (Polri) ensures that the food stock ahead of Ramadan until Eid is sufficient to meet the needs of the people in the country. However, the National Police does not deny that there have been increases and decreases in a number of food commodities.
“Food stock until later Eid al-Fitr is sufficient. Kendari, based on basic food prices as of March 9, 2022, some food prices have increased and decreased,” said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Gatot Repli Handoko at a press conference at the Jakarta Police Headquarters, Wednesday (9/3/2022).
He detailed the list of food prices in question, ranging from cooking oil to various brands.
“First, branded cooking oil increased by 2.74% or increased by Rp. 550 to Rp. 20,600/kg. Second, packaged cooking oil brand 2, decreased by 1.33% by Rp 250 to Rp 18,700/kg. Third, bulk cooking oil decreased by 4.41% or Rp. 750 to Rp. 16,250/kg,” explained Gatot.

Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili fell 9.66% or Rp. 5,200 to 48,650/kg.
The price of green cayenne pepper decreased by 21.87% or to Rp. 37,700/kg. There is also the price of red cayenne pepper which has decreased by 13.51% or Rp. 10,000 to Rp. 64,000 per kg. Finally, there is big red chili which has decreased by 10.37% or Rp. 5500 to Rp. 47.550 per kg.
Gatot added that apart from cooking oil and chili, there was also premium quality granulated sugar which decreased by 1.29% or Rp. 200 to Rp. 15,200/kg and local granulated sugar was set at Rp. 14,200/kg.
Finally, Gatot said that the prices of onions and eggs also fluctuated. It is known that the price of fresh chicken eggs decreased by 3.62% or Rp. 900 to Rp. 23.950/kg.
“Then medium-sized shallots decreased by 9.19%, or Rp. 3,450 to Rp. 34,100/kg, and medium-sized garlic, which decreased by 3.72%, or Rp. 1,150 to Rp. 29,800/kg,” concluded Gatot.
