Jakarta – The Indonesian National Police (Polri) requested information related to the trafficking of human organs from the Brazilian Interpol. This follows the news of ordering human organs by a fashion designer from Indonesia.
Kadivhumas Polri Inspector General Pol Dedi Prasetyo said that since the news of the case emerged, the Brazilian Interpol had not provided information to the Police. Dedi said that his party would welcome the news.
“As a speed measure, Interpol Jakarta will request information from Interpol Brazil regarding this information,” said Dedi in his statement, Thursday (24/2/2022).
Dedi said he received information regarding the alleged involvement of the Indonesian designer in the human organ trafficking syndicate in Brazil from the Secretary of the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Interpol Indonesia, Brigadier General Amur Chandra.

Dedi confirmed that Interpol Indonesia would start communicating with Brazil’s Interpol today.
“The plan is today (Thursday) to first communicate with Interpol Brasil,” explained Dedi.
Previously, the Brazilian Federal Police uncovered a human organ trafficking syndicate after raiding the laboratory of the UAE Campus in Manaus City. The raids are an effort by the Brazilian government to eradicate trafficking in human organs.
The alleged involvement of a fashion designer from Indonesia was revealed from the findings of an order containing pieces of legs and three placentas to be sent to Singapore. The organ has been preserved by a professor in the human anatomy laboratory on the UAE Campus. (DP)
