Solo Smart City: Become a Role Model for Other Cities

Solo – National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo inaugurated the Solo Smart City program at the Surakarta Police Headquarters. This concept is in line with the spirit of the Precision concept related to the transformation of public services.

The National Police Chief said the program was integrated with the services of both the Resort Police and the Surakarta city government. This includes CCTV traffic surveillance and public services through the “Eling Solo” application.

“This solo smart city concept combines the police and stakeholders of the solo city government and then we collaborate,” said General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Friday (18/2/2022).

“So that we can provide services by utilizing and integrating existing information technology. Then provide services that are emergency command center, “he continued.

The four-star general explained that the presence of the program was also a form of supervision from the two related agencies. So that if there is a security, safety, order and smooth traffic disturbance, it can be handled immediately.

“By integrating this, of course, each of them can complement each other and go to the field according to the needs or the existing situation,” he said.

He hopes that the program will continue to be developed by the National Police in the future, so that it can be an example for other cities and regencies in Indonesia.

“Our hope is that it will continue to be improved so that we can evaluate it with other Smart City concepts. We hope that Solo Smart City can become a role model that we will replicate to be developed in cities and regencies,” he said.

On that occasion, the National Police Chief was accompanied by the National Police Chief of Traffic Police Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi, Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Luthfi to members of the three DPR-RI commission Eva Yuliana.
