Karo – North Sumatra Police Chief (Kapolda Sumut) Inspector General (Irjen) Panca Putra reviewed the rice and onion harvest with the people of Mardingding District, Karo Regency, Wednesday (16/2/22).
Irjen Panca Putra implores the community to maintain and take good care of their fields properly so that the harvest in Lau Kesumpat Village can produce a good quality crop. “The fields must be well-maintained and cared for in order to produce a good quality crop”, said the Kapolda.

The Two-Star General also said that rice fields are the source of food for the people that must be maintained and cared for properly.
“If the quality of the harvest is good, it can improve the economy of the surrounding community as well. Hopefully, the assistance provided can be put to good use by the farmers,” stated Kapolda in his statement.

On that occasion, the Governor of North Sumatra, Edy Rahmayadi, said he wanted to directly monitor how food security exists in Karo Berneh, which is one of the food barns in Tanah Karo. North Sumatra will also help the land management and medicines and maintain the scarcity of fertilizers and their prices.
“I am very proud of the farmers of Mardinding District, who remain one of the granaries in North Sumatra,” said the Governor of North Sumatra proudly.
