Ahmad Ramadhan said that there were no violent acts carried out by the police officers while securing land measurements for the construction of the Bener Dam in Wadas Village, Purworejo Regency, Central Java on Tuesday,
Brigadier General. Pol. Ahmad Ramadhan said that the land measurement operation was running safely.
“There was no violence by members of the National Police against the community during the first phase of the measurement operation. The activities ran smoothly,” explained Karo Penmas at the National Police Headquarters, Wednesday (9/2/22).
Karo Penmas explained that his party had negotiated with many residents, both those who agreed and those who did not agree with the development of Bener Dam. The officers were also overseen by supervisors to ensure they did not commit acts of violence against residents.
The One-Star General added that some residents were detained because trying to provoke the others who did not agree with the measurement operation.
Brigadier General. Pol. Ahmad Ramadhan also explained that several people who were secured by the police carried out a swab test following the health protocol.
“The team secured several people and did a swab test for them,” he explained.
Karo Penmas said that from the results of the swab test, there was 1 resident who was confirmed positive COVID-19 and was immediately isolated in a predetermined place. “There is 1 confirmed COVID-19 resident and currently undergoing quarantine,” he explained
