The National Police has prepared a number of anticipatory steps to deal with hydrometeorological disasters. This situation is predicted to occur in Indonesia towards the end of the year.
“The National Police and their staff have been instructed to prepare every step to anticipate potential natural disasters in Indonesia,” said the Head of the National Police’s Public Relations Division, Kombes. Pol. Ahmad Ramadhan, quoted from the tribratanews page, Sunday (31/10).
Various steps have been taken including preparing a number of personnel, various facilities and infrastructure, including logistics.
He also said that he would coordinate with a number of related parties.
“Coordination with local government, TNI as well. Coordinate with local governments such as BNPB and BPBDs in the region, so that they are more alert in anticipating disasters,” he explained.
In addition, Ahmad Ramadhan also said that the National Police would form a task force to handle disaster mitigation. One of them is by taking preparatory steps by conducting good disaster management training.
