National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo provided an update to all ranks of the Resort Police on Tuesday (10 December) regarding the evaluation of the implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM).
In a briefing via video conference, Sigit emphasized to all employees that while relaxing community activities, they still make every effort and hope to prevent the soaring rate of Covid-19 growth.
In his briefing to police across all sub-districts, Tuesday (10 December), Sijit said: “Ready to relax the measures expected to prevent another spike in cases.” According to Sigit, this is an effort to prevent the growth rate of Covid-19. one.
And preparing for the transition from a pandemic to an endemic epidemic is through a combination of three strategies.
Third, tighten 3M health protocols (wear masks, wash hands and keep distance), strengthen 3T (tracking, testing and treatment) and accelerate vaccination.
In addition, Sigit hopes that there will be a peak during the relaxation of community activities, thus requiring all Polda to maximize the use of the PeduliLindung application to monitor the community.
Platforms should be provided in all community activity centres. Thus, community vaccination can be accelerated optimally.
“If you find a yellow or red category, provide vaccination services by providing vaccination kiosks and mobile vaccines,” urged the former National Police Chief of Criminal Investigation Unit.
Sigit also stated that early prediction was needed to prevent the entry of new variants of Covid-19 (such as MU and Lambda) from abroad caused by foreign travelers (PPLN).
Regarding the government’s policy that plans to open the door for foreign tourists and Indonesian citizens returning from abroad, Sigit hopes that there will be expectations and tighter supervision of the handling of Covid-19.
