Invited by the Police, 9 Former KPK Appreciate the Intentions of the National Police Chief

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the Police, Inspector General Pol. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, S.I.K., M.Sc., said that nine representatives of former KPK employees met with the National Police’s Human Resources Assistant (AS SDM) to discuss further the desire of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to withdraw them as ASN in the National Police.

“We invited their representatives to the National Police Headquarters. The meeting took place in the US HR room. The US Police HR department attended, then the Kadivkum, and there was also the Koorsahli and the Head of the Public Relations Division,” the class of the Head of the Police Public Relations Division.

The nine representatives of former KPK employees include Farid, Chandra, Feri and Giri Suprapdiono. In the fluid and warm meeting, the National Police with representatives of former KPK employees had a long discussion, one of which was the technical regulation of recruitment which would later involve experts.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police said, in principle, the meeting between the Police and former KPK employees will continue to immediately produce a decision that is equally expected by both parties. Argo said the results of the meeting showed that representatives of former KPK employees appreciated the good intentions of the National Police who wanted to accommodate them.

“Out of the 9 people, they appreciated what was the hope of the National Police Chief. Later there will be another meeting and we will involve experts. So hopefully we can reach a decision as soon as possible, “explained the Head of the Public Relations Division.

Previously, the National Police Chief General of Police Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, M.Sc., stated that he was ready to recruit 57 former KPK employees to become ASN at the Directorate of Corruption Crimes (Dittipidkor) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Department. This offer is a solution from Sigit for not being sworn in as ASN KPK.

“We sent a letter to the President asking for 56 people who carried out the TWK test who did not pass the test and were not appointed by the KPK ASN so that we could withdraw them later and recruit them as Polri ASN,” explained the National Police Chief.

The National Police Chief said that this proposal had also been approved by President Joko Widodo. The reply letter was sent by the Ministry of State Secretariat on 27 September 2021.

“In principle, he agreed to the 56 KPK employees to become Polri ASN,” he added.

In the letter, Jokowi gave instructions for the National Police to coordinate with the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform and the State Civil Service Agency. Currently, the recruitment mechanism is still being discussed together.
