At the foot of Mount Ciremai, Cipager Block, Bantar Agung Village, Sindangwangi District, the Jibom Unit of the Gegana Detachment of the West Java Police Satbrimob discovered traces of explosive Tri Acetone Tri Peroxide (TATP).

By going up Karang Lanang Hill with the Densus 88 Team and the Majalengka Police, the Jibom Unit is attempting to locate proof of Handak held by the culprit. The process of getting Handak TATP proof takes two days. The 35 kg TATP explosives discovered on the Karang Lanang hill, with a height of roughly 1450 MDPL, were completed.

The Jibom Unit hurried to the site where the TATP Handak was buried to dig and retrieve the evidence. Following the collection of evidence, the Jibom Unit of the Gegana Detachment of the West Java Police conducted a TATP explosives disposal (destruction) in the Karang Lanang hill area, with the discovery of a TATP bomb in a ready-to-detonate condition that was lifted at the storage location, in the form of explosives in a large jar and three Tupperware packages that had been wired together.

Asep Satriadi, Brigadier General of the Brigade Forces Brigade Unit Assignment Committee, stated, “The Jibom Unit is taking efforts to dispose of the TATP Handak evidence by taking half of the evidence for disposal and half of the TATP Handak evidence for research.”

Separately, West Java Police Kombes Pol. Yuri Karsono, S.I.K., Dansat Brimob West Java Police Kombes Pol. Yuri Karsono, S.I.K., noted that this activity was one of the Police’s concerns and a form of Bakti Brimob for the West Java Police by displaying the State in the midst of society.

“This is a type of Bhakti Brimob West Java Police, in this case, to create a secure and comfortable condition in the Majalengka region and its environs,” he concluded.
