Bantul – The Criminal Investigation Agency of the Republic of Indonesia Police (Bareskrim Polri) has revealed a case of production and illicit trafficking of hard and dangerous drugs in the West Java-DKI Jakarta, Yogyakarta-East Java-South Kalimantan Special Region, where the manufacturing plant is located in the Yogyakarta area.
The Head of the Public Information Bureau (Karopenmas) of the National Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono, during a press conference in Yogyakarta, Monday, said that since September 6, the National Police’s Narcotics and Criminal Investigation Department has organized enhanced police activities with the code Anti-Pill Koplo targeting producers and traffickers of hard drugs and illegal drugs. dangerous.
“From this enhanced police activity, around September 13 to 15, they succeeded in uncovering illegal traffickers of hard drugs and psychotropics by arresting approximately eight perpetrators,” said Brigadier General Rusdi.
According to him, from the hands of the suspects, the police have confiscated evidence of more than five million pills of hard drugs of the type Hexymer, Trihex, DMP, Tramadol, double L, Aprazolam from various crime scenes (TKP) for the arrest of the suspect, namely in Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka, Bekasi, and East Jakarta.
“Based on the results of this disclosure, the team from the Directorate of Narcotics Crime, Bareskrim Polri received instructions that the factory rather than the manufacture of this hard and dangerous drug is around the Yogyakarta area,” he said.
Karopenmas said that after investigation, the police found out that the drugs were produced in a factory and warehouse located on Jalan IKIP PGRI Sonosewu, Ngestiharjo Village, Kasihan District, Bantul Regency, DIY.
“And this place has been operating since 2018 and is capable of producing approximately two million pills in one day. This is something that we all need to pay attention to because it is related to public health,” he said.
According to him, the National Police’s Drug Investigation and Crime Investigation Team team in collaboration with the Yogyakarta Regional Police on September 21 also arrested the suspect at the Gudang Kasihan Bantul crime scene, and based on the results of interrogation that there was still one other factory located in the Bayuraden Village Warehouse, Gamping, Sleman Regency, DIY.
The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Pol Agus Hendrianto, said that in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, of course, it was not only the health impact that was felt by the community, but also other accompanying impacts.
“The circulation of these drugs is one of the alternatives that may actually cause health problems to the community, therefore this is one of the operational targets of the National Police and regional Criminal Investigation Units to take action and control,” he also said.
