100 Food Packages Distributed by TNI/Polri in Samarinda from House to House

SAMARINDA – The distribution of social assistance (Bansos) today was carried out simultaneously by the TNI/Polri at the Samarinda Police Headquarters. This assistance is intended for people in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The social assistance distribution activity was led directly by the Karo HR of the East Kalimantan Police, Kombes Pol Marjuki, accompanied by the Head of the Samarinda Police, Kombes Pol. Arif Budiman, the Head of SPKT of the East Kalimantan Police, the Deputy Chief of the Samarinda Police, the main official (PJU) of the Samarinda Police and the Head of the Samarinda Police, Bhabinkamtibmas and Babinsa Kodim 0901/ Samarinda.

The number of social assistance distributed to the community is in the form of 100 packages of rice each containing 5 kg of rice, which were symbolically handed over to Bhabinkamtibmas and Babinsa for distribution to the poor. Distribution activities are carried out by door-to-door mobile for the underprivileged.

In the social assistance distribution activities in the field, Samarinda Police personnel and members of the 0901 Samarinda Kodim are involved by complying with health protocols.

“Hopefully this little help that we distribute can be useful for the people who receive it and this pandemic will soon pass. Our economy is rising to move towards a developed and prosperous Indonesia,” said Police Chief Arif Budiman.

Simultaneous Vaccination 7,000 Doses

Previously, Thursday (22/9), Merdeka vaccination activities were carried out in three different locations in Samarinda at Lembuswana Mall, the University campus on August 17 2021, and the State Islamic University (UIN) Samarinda campus. There are 7,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine given to the public.

“There are 96 independent vaccination points that are held simultaneously throughout Indonesia. For Samarinda, it will be carried out in three locations with a target number of 7,000 doses,” said Arif.

Arif explained, the incessant vaccination was carried out as a form of the government’s seriousness in collaborating with the TNI and Polri to realize communal immunity (herd immunity) in order to control the spread of COVID-19.

Not only reviewing, on that occasion Arif also handed over a number of gifts to students, health workers and vaccinators, who have been fighting relentlessly in dealing with COVID-19.

“Appreciation and thanks to the health workers and vaccinators wherever they are on duty. They continue to struggle almost every day so that people get vaccines so they are not easily exposed to COVID-19, “said Arif.

Still conveyed by Arif, PPKM in the city of Samarinda which has dropped from Level 3 to Level 2 certainly cannot be separated from the participation of all parties and the community who play a role in implementing the discipline of health protocols.

“Even though we have received the vaccine, I ask the public to obey the health protocols. The discipline of undergoing Prokes so that we can all get through this pandemic in a healthy and safe way,” said Arif.
