Jakarta – The odd-even (gage) policy remains in effect this weekend. In addition, the Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) of the Polda Metro Jaya has begun to enforce the application of gages at tourist attractions since yesterday, September 17, 2021.
“Police Directorate of Traffic PMJ has imposed an odd-even (gage) policy in the tourist areas of DKI Jakarta,” quoted from the Twitter account @TMCPoldaMetro, Saturday, September 18, 2021.
The odd-even policy that applies on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays, is almost the same as applying the gage on weekdays. That is, starting at 06.00 WIB until 20.00 WIB.
Meanwhile, odd-even in tourist areas only applies every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The gage application is valid from 12.00 WIB to 18.00 WIB.
This policy is in accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 42 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Level 4, Level 3, and Level 2 Covid-19 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in the Java and Bali Regions. Also, DKI Jakarta Governor Decree Number 1096 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of PPKM Level 3 Covid-19.
Motorcycles, yellow plate vehicles, TNI/Polri vehicles, state-owned official vehicles, vehicles carrying medical devices, vaccinations, and health workers are free from the gage rule. In addition, the Police will impose fines for gage violators starting September 1, 2021. Violators will be fined either manually by members in the field, or through electronic ticket cameras or e-TLE.
