To commemorate the 76th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, the Brimob Police Corps vaccinates children with special needs.

JAKARTA – The Brimob Police Corps held an Independent Vaccine Outlet at the Dharma Asih Foundation and YPLB Nusantara, Beji, Depok, West Java, Friday (13/8/2021).

The vaccination, which was held in order to welcome the 76th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, specifically targets children with special needs.

Head of the National Police Mobile Brigade Headquarters, Kombes Pol Danu Waspodo, said that the vaccination was carried out at points namely Beji and Pancoran Mas.

Vaccination at the two locations targets 300 people with special needs.

“The Police Mobile Brigade Corps and the Brimob Bhayangkara Hospital in collaboration with the Depok City Health Office and Education Office carry out vaccination activities for people with special needs and persons with disabilities in the Depok City area,” said Pol Kombes Danu Waspodo in a statement received, Saturday (14/8/). 2021).

According to Danu, vaccination for people with special needs requires more caution and attention.

One day before the vaccination, the participants had been tested first.

“There is a difference in giving vaccinations for people with disabilities. For people with disabilities, they are very, very attentive, they have shortcomings compared to normal ones. So one day earlier, the hospital and specialist doctors had screened participants who were about to vaccinate,” said Danu.

Danu continued, according to the direction, the National Police always make efforts to pick up the ball in order to pursue the vaccination target so that herd immunity can be achieved immediately.

“From Mr. Dankor Brimob, he gave directions to all of us to always speed up picking up the ball for people who have not been vaccinated, so we have to green the people of Depok and its surroundings, including people with disabilities,” he said.

Meanwhile, Depok Mayor Idris Abdul Shomad appreciated the steps taken by the Brimob Police Corps.

Abdul assessed that the vaccination target could be achieved because of the participation of all parties.

All parties must collaborate in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

“So thank you for my highest appreciation. According to what position and capacity. Because in the face of this pandemic, the National Police Chief has also said, the Minister of Home Affairs has also reminded that there is no superman in dealing with a pandemic, there is a superteam. There is no such thing as a superinstitution, there is no supercommunity, there is a super nation,” he said.

In this activity, the Police Mobile Brigade Corps also provided social assistance to YPLB Nusantara in the form of food packages and daily necessities as well as free medical cards for children with special needs at the Bhayangkara Brimob Hospital.
