Lamongan – Patrol while sharing. This is what the TNI-Polri in Lamongan did in a large-scale patrol conducted on Friday night (23/7). In addition to urging residents to return to their homes according to PPKM Level 4 rules, officers also distributed precision social assistance to residents affected by the pandemic.
Lamongan Police Chief AKBP Miko Indrayana said this large-scale patrol was carried out to create a safe and conducive security and social security situation. As well as, urging traders to return home and continue their activities according to the operating hours stipulated in the PPKM Level 4 rules.
“We also give advice to street vendors. Provide understanding regarding the rules of PPKM Level 4 in a humane manner, disperse crowds and control and check compliance with PPKM Level 4 rules,” said Miko after a large-scale patrol.
In addition, said Miko, this activity also distributes social assistance to communities affected by the economy in the midst of the current Level 4 PPKM period. Officers went around visiting small merchant stalls that were still open and the homes of underprivileged residents.
“The implementation of large-scale patrol activities and the distribution of Precision social assistance are carried out to provide a sense of security and calm to the community in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of level 4 PPKM,” he explained.
The Police Chief said that large-scale patrols and the distribution of basic food assistance to communities affected by COVID-19 will continue to be carried out.
“Not only this time, previously there have also been other social assistance distributed,” added the Chief of Police.
Meanwhile, the Head of Ops for Lamongan Police, AKP Slamet Agus Sumbono, added that the assistance given to the residents was in the form of basic food packages in the form of 150 kg of rice given to 30 underprivileged residents in the Lamongan area.
