Investigators from Polda Metro Jaya uncovered cases of the practice of selling vaccine certificates, “PCR” swab tests, and fake antigen swab tests to suspects RAR and TM.
The Head of Public Relations (Head of Public Relations) Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes. Pol. Drs. Yusri Yunus, said the two suspects marketed the fake letter-making services through social media.
“His modus operandi is to offer letters of antigen, PCR, and fake vaccines through his Facebook page under the name Rani Maharani,” explained the Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya.
After receiving the order, the suspect will use the names of certain clinics to fake vaccine letterheads, antigen swabs, and PCR at various prices. Residents who use this service are usually employees who are required to have a certificate for work trips.
For their actions, the two were clearly charged with Article 35 Juncto Article 51 Paragraph 1 of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions or ITE with a threat of 12 years in prison.
