The Central Kalimantan Police Chief, Inspector General Pol. Dedi Prasetyo, appealed to the entire community, especially in Palangka Raya City, to reduce mobility or travel ahead of the Eid al-Adha celebration, because the spread of COVID-19 in the region is still quite high.
“The high rate of spread of COVID-19 must be a warning to the public to always discipline themselves by strictly implementing health protocols,” explained Inspector General Pol. Dedi Prasetyo in Palangka Raya, Sunday (18/07/21).
The Central Kalimantan Regional Police, together with the local Provincial Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), along with the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) and the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI), have issued a joint circular regarding the implementation of the takbiran night, Eid al-Adha prayers and the slaughter of sacrificial animals.
The Central Kalimantan Police Chief said in the circular that it was recommended that people perform Eid al-Adha prayers at home with their respective families. Eid al-Adha prayers can be held in the yellow and green zones. Managers of mosques, prayer rooms, or Eid al-Adha prayer committees are required to prepare complete health protocols. The same must be fulfilled by pilgrims.
“We ask the community to minimize it by limiting relationships to only close family. As well as avoiding halal bihalal in offices and communities, that can cause crowds, “said Inspector General of Police Dedi Prasetyo.
The former Karobinkar SSDM Polri appealed to the Idul Adha prayer committee and the slaughter of sacrificial animals to always coordinate. As well as asking for assistance from the COVID-19 Task Force Team for assistance.
The Palangka Raya City COVID-19 Task Force Team continues to intensively carry out activities ahead of Eid al-Adha. Starting from good, check business places such as cafes, restaurants, and so on.
