The number of potholes along Jalan Diponegoro, Purwodadi is a concern of Padas Batu Armada Pengakut volunteers. That is what made the volunteers take social action in the form of road patching in the path that has holes in it, Friday (5/3/2021).
The focal point of patching is carried out in front of a well-known motorcycle dealer. Where, in the lane, the cast iron link on the road body comes loose and is very dangerous to passing motorists.
KBO Then Polres Grobogan Iptu Candra Bayu Septi appreciated the steps taken by these volunteers. According to him, there were two trucks filled with rocks which were provided by volunteers.
“The road patching using dastu on Jalan Diponegoro Purwodadi was carried out as a result of road damage, where the cast iron link on the road body was detached and was very dangerous for road users, especially motorbike riders who passed, especially at night,” said Iptu Candra.
The volunteers who carry out this social action, continued Candra, are those who cross this route every day. The patching of the potholes is monitored directly from the Grobogan Police Traffic Unit.
“We selectively patch along the road sections whose holes are very dangerous to road users. There are approximately 24 points along the route. With this temporary patch, we hope that no more motorists will experience harm due to potholes on this route. Especially at night, “he hoped.
