Bontang – The Bontang Resort Police (Polres) conducted a sudden urine test on its members to ensure that its members are free of narcotics and illegal drugs (drugs), Monday (1/3/2021).
This activity was led directly by the Head of Bontang Police, AKBP Hanifa Martunas Siringoringo, SIK. MH after the morning rally, followed by the Deputy Chief of Police, the Head of Section, Kasat, Kasi, Kapolsek, Officers and all members of both the male and female police and ASN Bontang Police.
In its implementation, the Urine Test was carried out by the Bontang Police Health Affairs (Urkes) together with the Bontang City Hospital Health Analyst Team led by Dr. Eva Hartati Sp.PK with 8 other health personnel.
The implementation of the urine test is under the strict supervision of the Propam Officer, especially for members who want to remove their urine to be submitted to the officer so that they cannot exchange their urine with someone else’s or replace it with water.
According to Bontang Police Chief AKBP Hanifa Martunas Siringoringoa, the drug-free urine test for members is a routine program in order to improve members’ discipline.
“A total of 242 Bontang Police personnel took the Urine Test and were grateful for all negative results,” said Bontang Police Chief AKBP Hanifa Martunas Siringoringo to this media.
The Head of Police said, before bringing order to the community, we would first curb the members. Moreover, drugs are also one of the National Police’s attention, “he said.
Among other things, discipline of members related to drugs is one of the Chief’s priority programs. Because of this, the Bontang Police conducts sudden and periodic drug-free urine tests.
In addition to personnel serving at Bontang Police, this Urine Test was also attended by Polsek personnel. Including from the Muara Badak and Marangkayu Polsek, we all bring them to the Bontang Police, except for those who are in the service, explained Hanifa.
He emphasized that in prosecution cases of drug abuse, there will be no selective action, both the general public and members of the National Police who are proven to be involved in the case will be prosecuted and processed in accordance with applicable regulations.
“We will not cover up, if there are members who are involved in drugs, we will act firmly and process them legally,” he said.
“We will do another Urine Test later, it’s time for us to keep it a secret for personnel who have not attended today because of the service or illness,” said the number one person in the Bontang Police ranks.
“The urine test results, if there are members who are indicated positive, it will be immediately followed up with further laboratory examinations and legal proceedings according to the provisions,” he concluded.
