Along with Immigration, the National Police Arrests Interpol Fugitive Andrew Ayer with his girlfriend

JAKARTA – The Police Headquarters Team, Resmob Polda Bali and the Special Immigration Class I Ngurah Rai managed to capture Interpol fugitive Andrew Ayer alias Andrei Kovalenka who fled from the Class I Special Immigration Office of TPI Ngurah Rai, Bali on Thursday, February 11, 2021.

Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, revealed that Andrew Ayer was arrested at Villa Seminyak II, Jalan Umalas 1, North Kuta, early this morning. When he was arrested, Andrew did not resist and was immediately taken to the Immigration Office.

“The team from the National Police Headquarters, Resmob Polda Bali together with the Special Immigration Class I Ngurah Rai have arrested the DPO Red Notice Interpol Russian foreigner Andrew Ayer alias Andrei Kovalenka,” said Inspector General Argo Yuwono in a written statement, Jakarta, Wednesday (24/2 / 2021).

Apart from Andrew, the joint team also arrested a woman and Andrew’s girlfriend, named Ekaterina Trubkina. He was also arrested because he was suspected of being involved in his lover’s escape.

“Secured with his girlfriend without doing anything against it, he continued to take the DPO to the Immigration office,” said Argo.

Previously, Andrew Ayer fled when he was about to be moved from the Detention Room of the Class I Special Immigration Office of the Ngurah Rai TPI to the Denpasar Immigration Detention Center due to the limited detention rooms owned by the Special Class I Immigration Office for TPI Ngurah Rai.

During the administration process for the transfer, the woman in question was visited by her female colleague named Ekaterina Trubkina at around 13:20 WITA.

After being visited by his female colleague, Andrew Ayer alias Andrei Kovalenka carried out a re-examination process by the officers. However, during the examination process the person concerned sneaked out of the examination room and fled.
