Jakarta – National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, instructed all his staff to investigate and work optimally in resolving criminal cases of land mafia crimes throughout Indonesia.

“The issue of the land mafia is of particular concern to the President. I was ordered by the President to thoroughly investigate the land mafia issue, ”said Sigit in his written statement, Thursday (18/2/2021).

Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) often receives reports of land mafia practices in Indonesia.

As law enforcement officers, Sigit said, the police must carry out their duties to defend the rights that are owned by the community.

“I instruct all members in all ranks not to hesitate and thoroughly investigate the land mafia issue, restore community rights, enforce the law firmly,” said the former Banten Police Chief.

Regarding the existence of persons supporting this case, he asked for firm action against whoever the intellectual actor behind the land mafia syndicate.

“Whoever the rider, I ask the ranks not to hesitate the process is complete,” he said.

Scorching the land mafia, he said, is part of the program of precision or predictive policing, responsibility, and fair transparency.

“The law enforcement process must be thoroughly investigated indiscriminately,” said Sigit.

It is known, in 2020, Bareskrim Polri through the Land Mafia Task Force, conducted an investigation process of 37 cases. 8 of them are in the process of investigation.

From the investigation, 12 of them had already carried out the second phase of delegation, six cases were declared complete or P21 and 4 of them were P19 processes and three SP3 cases.

Then, Polda Metro Jaya arrested 1 land mafia syndicate. The gang worked by falsifying land titles and making illegal e-KTPs. For his crime, the victim suffered hundreds of billions of losses.

Currently, the police are also investigating the case of a land mafia syndicate that is suspected of committing fraud of the mother’s certificate from former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dino Patti Djalal.

In its development, the Police have so far named 12 people as suspects in connection with the case. Polda Metro Jaya has received three reports in this case.

The first report was made in April 2020 regarding his house in Pondok Indah, the second report in November 2020 regarding his house in Kemang, and the third in January 2021, which is still under investigation.
